San Francisco -- April 24, 2012, 8am PT -- SocialFolders, the application that lets anyone easily manage, sync and truly own any file on the social Web, today announced its integration with SoundCloud to bring users offline access to their SoundCloud universe.

With SocialFolders, sound creators get a seamless desktop experience with such benefits as easy file access, background uploading and downloading of their sound files. Collaboration between SoundCloud users becomes seamless thanks to the ability to subscribe to sound files from other creators and open them with their favorite desktop sound applications.

To begin, users can simply add SoundCloud as a new service in their SocialFolders app. (Users can grab the free SocialFolders app here). This will backup the user’s original SoundCloud content to the computer. Next, users will subscribe to the sets and likes of other users he or she follows on SoundCloud.

“SoundCloud has the largest sound catalogue available, ranging from music, podcasts, comedy, speeches and more,” said Philippe Honigman, founder and CEO of SocialFolders. “This integration marks the first time SocialFolders has engaged with sound and we’re thrilled to be providing Dropbox-like sync to the leading social sound platform.”

"SoundCloud is excited that SocialFolders is bringing the social sound experience closer to the desktop workflow, letting sound creators use drag and drop for sharing their work,” said Henrik Lenberg, Vice President of Platform at SoundCloud.

Launched to the public last December, SocialFolders is rethinking the way people can manage their social content -- from Facebook to Flickr -- all in one place. SocialFolders is free for anyone to start using, with additional features available in its premium version. For more information, please visit www.socialfolders.me. This partnership marks SocialFolders first foray into sound.
